Vanguard Chinooks actively supports people from historically marginalized communities (e.g., Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, disabled, etc.) that are looking for the right dog and/or support and mentorship in the dog community. With the origins of purebred dog culture firmly rooted in Victorian England, it is not surprising that it is a largely white, privileged space. By working together, we can effect change and evolve this for the future.
